About this clinic
HIV-NAT is an HIV research unit under the Thai Red Cross AIDS Research Centre in Bangkok, and one of Southeast Asia's leading centres for studying and developing world-class care for people living with HIV.
Founded in 1996 as an academic collaboration between the Kirby Institute (Australia), the Amsterdam Institute for Global Health and Development (the Netherlands), and the Thai Red Cross AIDS Research Centre, its main goal is to conduct clinical research to international standards and develop new treatment approaches for people living with HIV in Thailand and the wider region.
Over more than 25 years, HIV-NAT has played a key role in coordinating multi-centre clinical trials, developing and evaluating antiretroviral medicines, studying long-term side effects, and advancing HIV research nationally and internationally, making it an important hub of knowledge, innovation, and global collaboration in the sustainable response to HIV.
