About this clinic
The SimpPrEP project in Chiang Mai is a research study examining the feasibility and effectiveness of event-driven PrEP (PrEP on-demand) among men who have sex with men at risk of HIV, aiming to make HIV prevention simple, convenient, and suited to each person's patterns.
Participants receive PrEP free throughout the study, along with blood tests, HIV testing, and close periodic health follow-up by doctors and research staff, to assess safety, effectiveness, and medicine-taking patterns in detail.
The project is another important step for Thailand in developing HIV prevention that fits real life and in promoting sustainable access to PrEP in the future.
